Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 1, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how PYLI5 handles information. PYLI5 is a free educational website, and you do not need an account to read lessons or run the interactive examples.
Information we collect: We do not ask you to create an account to learn. Our servers may record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested), and the analytics and advertising services described below may set cookies in your browser.
Analytics: When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which lessons help readers. It may set cookies. We do not use Microsoft Clarity or any session-recording tools.
Interactive code: Try-It exercises run entirely in your browser (via Pyodide). Your code is not intentionally sent to or executed on our server.
Cookies: Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. PYLI5 and its partners may use them for analytics and, where ads are shown, for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well.
Advertising: When enabled, PYLI5 displays ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to PYLI5 or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Your choices: You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third party’s use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
Children’s privacy: PYLI5 is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes: We may update this policy as the site changes; the effective date above shows the latest version.
